Cindy is also a mother, homeschooler, and artist.
She has done landscapes, still lifes, portraits, abstracts, and

drew several years ago for an eye clinic brochure, calligraphy
for church certificates and memorials, and designing and
painting banners, signs and t-shirts. She works in all kinds of
media: acrylics, oils, pastels, charcoal, colored pencils and
stained glass.
Mrs. Rivers has produced several portraits,
mainly of her daughter. Others include two self-portraits, one
which was honored as Best Painting at the 2001 OAE, a portrait
of her daughter, which was awarded an Honorable Mention in the
2002 OAE, a family portrait and a private commissioned piece. A
pastel won her the honor of Best Drawing in her first appearance
at the OAE. Cindy is currently working on commissioned pieces in
her home.
Along with painting, Cindy Rivers has extensive
experience in repairing pottery and other ceramics. She has been
commissioned by antique dealers and private collectors over the
past fifteen years to fix their chipped, cracked and broken
pieces.
